 Welcome to the East Cheshire branch of the 

Alzheimer's Society

The Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading charity supporting people with dementia, their carers and families. The branch is located in the Springbank Center off Victoria Road in Macclesfield and serves the community of Macclesfield, Knutsford, Wilmslow, Poynton, Disley and Congleton town. Launched in 1993, the branch is celebrating its 15th Anniversary this year and continues to provide a variety of services across the East Cheshire area. The Branch works in partnership with other voluntary and statutory agencies including the Cheshire and Wirral Partnership trust, Cheshire County Council and Central and Eastern Cheshire Primary Care Trust.  

Opening hours - the Branch is usually open from 9.30-4.30 Monday to Friday. We have an answer machine which can be used at other times. The machine is checked regularly so please leave a message and someone will call you back. 

We welcome visitors to the office or library but it is better to telephone before you visit to ensure staff will be available to see you. Parking is available, however this can get very crowded. We encourage visitors to use the spaces reserved for service users or disabled spaces if necessary.

This will be a fantastic evening of big band and swing music  - supported by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra String Section.   Organised by Macclesfield Rotary Club to raise funds for the Branch & East Cheshire Hospice. The Rotary Club is sponsoring the new Reminiscence Library being opened in Dementia Awareness WeekTM.  Full details on the Events page.

Dementia Awareness WeekTM 6 - 12 July

We have a number of events taking place as well as the usual information displays across the East Cheshire area.  Check out the Events page for more details.  Our theme is "Be Head Strong" and reduce your risk of developing dementia.
