                               What's new from the Peterborough branch?

'Memory Matters' Talk  - We are delighted to announce that Dr Nigel Hume, a GP from Wansford has kindly agreed to give a presentation entitled 'Memory Matters'.  Dr Hume will give us an insight into dementia and a greater understanding of anatomy of the brain, and a clearer knowledge of memory loss. 

The talk will take place on Wednesday 22nd October at 10.30am, carers and professionals are welcome.  This event will be by ticket only at a cost of £4.00 per person (professionals) or FREE if you care for someone with memory problems on an informal basis.

New Activities and Outings - New planned trips include St. Ives and Broadway Theatre in September, Wyevale Garden Centre in November and pub lunch at the Bluebell in Glinton in October, for further details click on Activities.

Sponsored Swim - The 'Rotariswim' is organised every year (October/November time) by the Rotary Club of Werrington, Peterborough and local charities and groups are offered lanes for an hour with the aim to swim as many lengths as possible and raise as much money as possible for charity.  If you fancy swimming in this years Rotariswim please contact the office.

New    Ladies' Group called 'Pathways for Women' - This group is aimed at ladies who are in the early to mid stages of dementia and content will include discussion, memory stimulation, relationship building, coping strategies - we will also invite other professionals to speak to group members.
