Fundraising

We have various types of fundraising being undertaken for the Peterborough Branch and many ways in which you can support us.

Branch Fundraising (ie Street Collections, Bottle Bank, Co-op Share No, Four Season's Draw, Membership)

All funds that come to the Peterborough Branch are used to support people in the Greater Peterborough area. The branch supports over 350 people with dementia, carers and families.

About Us

Alzheimer's Society is a membership organisation, which works to improve the quality of life of people affected by dementia in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Many of our 25,000 members have personal experience of dementia, as carers, health professionals or people with dementia themselves, and their experiences help to inform our work.

General Donations to the Peterborough Branch - We have many different supporters in the Greater Peterborough area who make general donations to the Branch to help continue our work.

Gift Aid

Your donation can be increased by almost a third, at NO extra cost to you. Gift Aid allows the Society to reclaim the tax you have paid on the money you have donated. Justgiving.com

You can set up an online fundraising page through a website called ‘Just Giving’. If you do this, you can select to raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society. The money raised automatically goes to our National Office, but you can request in the body of the webpage you create that you want the funds to come to the Peterborough Branch. Please make it clear, best to use percentages, and let us know so we can chase up the funds from National Office and they will then come to the Branch. Follow this link to go to www.justgiving.com

Rotariswim

The 'Rotariswim' is organised every year (October/ November time) by the Rotary Club of Werrington, Peterborough - local charities and groups are offered lanes for an hour with the aim to swim as many lengths as possible and raise as much money as possible for charity.
