The branch were delighted to be nominated by Chesterfield Football Club to receive a share of the FA Community Shield Fund,
which is the traditional curtain-raiser to the domestic season between the Premiership and FA Cup champions.
A cheque was presented to our advisory branch development committee member, Councillor Keith Falconer, during the home game against Hereford
United.
Spireites director Philip Taylor commented: 'The Community Shield Fund enables clubs like Chesterfield to support local
charities, and we are delighted that this year we are able to support the good work of our local branch of the Alzheimer's
Society.'
Our thanks to the Club and to the team members who supported the Co-Op Fashion evening.

A great night all round. Chesterfield went on to win 4-0.
