  • Alzheimer's Cafe Stratford District

    The Alzheimer's Cafe is an educational and social event. It follows an 11 month rolling programme. The cafe has a different theme each meeting. It generally follows the chronological course of the illness. It provides information, emotional support, social support, informal consultations, encourages peer support and the opportunity to meet with professionals in a social setting. Refreshments are available.

Refreshments are available.

  • Dell Court

    The day care service provides a stimulating and social environment for people with early to mid stages of dementia. The carers can benefit from 5 hours respite. A freshly cooked meal at lunch time, occassional outings and activities are provided. There is also the option of a pick up and drop off service for people with out transport.

  • Forget me nots - Stratford District

    Forget me nots is a social group open to carers and people with dementia. The group provides peer support and friendship. It runs once a month and includes outings/ pub lunches and day trips

  • Home Respite -Warwick District

    The home care service is primarily provided for carers who are in need of respite. A trained Care Assistant will visit the home and engage, stimulate and provide company for the person with dementia. Pesonal care and manual handling are not provided. There are limited places.

  • Home Respite Stratford District

    The home respite service is primarly offered to carers who are in need of respite. A trained Care Assistant will visit the home and engage, stimulate and provide company for the person with dementia. Personal care and manual handling are not provided. There are limited places.

  • Information and advice

    The information and advice incorporates a number of services. Outreach workers are available to raise awareness and reach people who could benefit from our knowledge. The Outreach workers build links with families, care homes, agencies, professional bodies to give talks, advice on symptons, coping strategies and general guidance. A resource room is also available by appointment only. Anyone who has an interest in dementia is welcome.

  • James Court

    The day care service provides a stimulating and social environment for people with dementia. It enables carers to take 5hrs respite. A pick up service is available. The day care also provides a freshly cooked meal at lunch time, occassional outings and a variety of activities.

  • Netherfield House

    Netherfield House provides a social occasion for people in the early stages of dementia. Emotional support, companionship, activities and lunch are provided. A pick up and drop off service is provided for people with no means of transport.

  • Pub Lunch

    The pub lunch provides a social ocassion for people with dementia and carers to come together and enjoy a meal out in good company. The venues and bookings are organised by the branch but each individual will fund their own meal. There are a number of volunteers attend the lunch.

  • Saturday Group

    The Saturday group has two sessions running within the day. The main Saturday group is for both people with dementia and their carers. It provides social interaction with others in the same situation and also advice and support. Speakers have often been invited to give advice on current topics. A smaller group has been incorporated for carers only to discuss their feelings and needs and to gain emotional support and advice. Refreshments are served.

  • Shipmates

    Shipmates is a group where carers can get peer support and information from professional people. Topics are discussed within the group and relevant speakers are booked. The group is based in Shipston on Stour.

  • Singing for the Brain

    Singing for the brain is a local musical group lead by a trained volunteer. This service is available for carers and people with dementia. It has been developed to help with memory problems and sustain mental and psychological well-being through gentle physical activity, stimulating and challenging singing.

  • Social Support Stratford District

  • The Rock Cafe Carers Group

    The Rock Cafe Carers Group was developed in partnership with Woodloes House Assessment Unit (NHS). It provides information, an opportunity for informal discussions and has a programme of speakers.

  • Victor Hodges House

    The day care provides a stimulating and social environment for people with early to mid stages of dementia. It enables the carers to take 5hrs respite. A freshly cooked meal at lunch time, various activities and outings are provided. A pick and drop off service is available for people with out transport.
