Haslemere and Waverley branch

Welcome to the Haslemere and Waverley branch of the Alzheimer's Society

The Alzheimer's Society is the leading care and research charity for people with all forms of dementia, their families and carers.

The Society was founded in Haslemere in 1979.  Two local residents Dr. Anne Hunter OBE, a retired neurologist, and the late Mrs Cora Phillips were e founders of the Society.  Dr Hunter remains an influential and active member of the Society both nationally and locally.

This branch in Haslemere was later established in 1994 when we opened our Day Centre at the Marjorie Gray Hall, where we are still located.  The Branch now operates throughout the Waverley area and includes Farnham, Godalming and Cranleigh as well as Haslemere.

How to find us

The Branch is situated on the A286, Grayswood Road, Haslemere between Church Lane, and Beech Road.
