Welcome to the Bromley Branch of the Alzheimer's Society's website.

We are here to help.

We offer a number of services and support to people with dementia and also their carers - see our branch services page.

About the branch

The Alzheimer's Society was formed in 1979 on the initiative of a Bromley resident, Mrs Cora Phillips, MBE, and the formation of the Bromley branch followed shortly afterwards.

Since 1992 the branch has been situated at 'White Gables', which is a leased property with a spacious garden located at 18 Bromley Common, Bromley, Kent

At White Gables we have a day centre, which enables carers to enjoy a period of respite whilst we provide mental stimulation and physical activities for the relatives or friends they care for, whom we call our 'guests'.

It also has accommodation for the branch and day centre administration, carers meetings, branch meetings, a medical room and provision for most of the other functions organised by the branch. It also provides facilities for individual carers to discuss their problems with staff or volunteers with experience of caring.

The branch operates throughout the London Borough of Bromley and has its own volunteer committee whilst acting in full liaison with the Society's National and Regional offices. The members of the branch committee are mainly carers and ex-carers with considerable personal experience of the problems of dementia.
