House Contact: Pamela Goodwin on 01707-265326 Our social evening is held on the second Wednesday of each month 7pm until 9.30pm at Friendship House, Wellfield Close, Hatfield for carers and people with dementia in the Welwyn/Hatfield area. It provides a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to meet people and make friends. At the January meeting each year, we all get together and decide the programme for the rest of the year. In 2004, we have had people to entertain us, we've had a beetle drive, we went on a trip to a working farm and enjoyed a barbeque and much more. Every December meeting is a Christmas Party. Some people like to come along and join in with whatever is going on, other like to sit and chat with friends over a glass of wine and light refreshments. The choice is yours. Every year, we organise a long weekend break for carers and people with dementia at one of the many adults-only holiday centres in the UK. We can provide transport to and from Friendship House in the Welwyn/Hatfield area. If you would like to come and do require transport, please 'phone our office on 01707 265326 and we can arrange that for you. The cost of the evening is £2.50 if transport is provided and £2.00 if you come by your own transport. The keynote of all our activities is interesting and fun time out form the serious business of day to day caring so we hope that you feel like coming to join us.
