Give As You Earn
Give as you earn or payroll giving is tax free if you are a UK
taxpayer.
An individuals contributions are deducted before tax. If you give £10
a month only £7.70 is deducted from your pay. We will still receive the
full £10 because the taxman makes up the difference.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer your donations cost
even less.
Anyone can join if their pay or pension is taxed through PAYE.
Everyone who joins the scheme
receives our quarterly newsletter which keeps you informed about branch
news and activities. If you
would like to start to Give As You Earn check with your payroll department
at work to see if they offer the scheme, and decide how much you would
like to donate each pay day.
Remember the branch in your will
Have you ever thought about leaving a legacy gift in your will?
A legacy gift can be a sum of money left to your chosen charity.
Leaving a gift to the Newcastle branch of the Alzheimer's Society will
help us to improve the lives of people with dementia and their carers in
the future. If you would like
to receive a copy of the Society's booklet about making a will please
contact us.
